These aren’t off-the-shelf kits. Every coop is built to order using commercial-grade materials and small-structure construction methods the same principles used in permanent outdoor buildings. For customers who want a custom length up to 20 feet, pricing is available upon request.
We also offer a 3-month layaway option for those who’d like to spread the cost. Contact us to get started.
Yes. Delivery and installation is included for customers in Miami, Homestead, and Broward County. For all other locations across Florida, statewide delivery is available at an additional charge of $2 per mile from our Miami base. We’ll calculate your exact delivery cost when you request a quote.
We build every coop to order, so we operate on a waitlist. From the time your deposit is placed, you can typically expect delivery and installation within 4 to 6 weeks. We’ll keep you updated on your build status throughout the process.
A typical installation takes approximately 2 hours. That said, the timeline can vary depending on where on your property the coop is going and how accessible that location is.
One important thing to know: we require direct vehicle access to the installation site. We are not able to disassemble fencing, remove gates, or provide crane services to navigate around obstacles. If your desired location has limited access, we can deliver the coop as close as possible and you can then coordinate with a local shed-moving company that offers crane or skid services to position it from there.
The general rule of thumb in the chicken-keeping world is approximately 4 square feet of interior space per bird. We like happy, comfortable chickens — so our recommendations are on the generous side:
Small (6′ x 8′) — comfortably houses 8 to 10 chickens
Medium (6′ x 12′) — comfortably houses 12 to 14 chickens
Large (6′ x 16′) — comfortably houses 16 to 20 chickens
If you’re on the fence between two sizes, we’ll always recommend going larger. Your chickens will thank you.
Surprisingly little which is one of the underrated benefits of a well-built coop. Our coops come equipped with 5-gallon feeders and waterers from RentACoop, which depending on your flock size and the season, can last anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks between refills.
For the floor, we’ve found coarse sand to be the easiest and most practical substrate. It drains well, stays relatively clean, and is simple to maintain. About once a month, a quick rake to scrape out the top layer is all it takes to keep things fresh.
Beyond that, the structural maintenance demand is exceptionally low by design. That’s the whole point of building it right from the start.
We offer a 3-month layaway option. Simply divide your total into three equal payments made over three months. Once your final payment is received, we begin building your coop. It’s a straightforward way to spread the investment without any financing complexity.
Beyond our three standard models, we can build to any length up to 20 feet. The standard 6-foot width remains consistent across all builds. You can also select your preferred exterior color and choose the stain finish for the Cypress or Cedar boards on the nesting box section so the coop can be matched to complement your home and backyard aesthetic.
If you have a specific vision in mind, reach out and we’ll talk through what’s possible.
