We make over-engineered backyard structures.
We started Florida Chicken Coops because we couldn't find a coop built the way we'd build a small outdoor structure — with real lumber ratings, real structural fasteners, real corrosion-resistant hardware, and a real understanding of what Florida humidity does to wood over time.
So we built it ourselves.
Every coop we make is constructed in our Florida workshop using the same materials and methods a professional builder would use on any permanent outdoor structure.

Why We Only Serve Florida

Florida isn't like anywhere else in the country, and the structures that survive here have to be built for here. Out-of-state coop builders don't engineer for hurricane connectors. They don't seal cut ends against fungal decay. They don't specify ground-contact lumber rated for high-moisture environments. They don't have to.
